We had a great day celebrating Halloween
Welcome to our class blog. This blog is to be used as a communication between school and home. If you have any questions about when homework is due, or details about homework, you can post a comment on that homework. Also, I will post anything fun and exciting that is going on in class! I hope you find this helpful! Love, Mrs. Dietz

Media Party
As a class we earned a party, the students decided they wanted a media party. After lunch on Tuesday, the students pulled out their media items and we got to relax for a bit and have some fun!

Practicing Spelling
Hi Parents and Students!
I want to tell you about some ways to practice spelling words at home. The first one is new to me also, but I just learned about a website called spellingcity.com. It's really cool, you should take a look at it! It has many spelling games on it!
When you go to this website, click on the red and yellow 'STUDENTS' tab in the top right corner of the page. Next scroll down all the way to the bottom. On about the middle of the page will be the blue underlined words 'FIND A LIST'. After clicking on it, search by teacher by simply typing 'Dietz' and clicking search. I should be the top name that appears (Allison Dietz). Click on my name. Now you will have the option of 'Teach', 'Test' or 'Games'. You can use these three options to help you study spelling at home. There are tons of games, I hope you find them fun!
Here are some other ideas of how to study spelling words at home:
Write the words in alphabetical order
Write each word in a sentence
Write a story using all of the spelling words
Type the words on the computer (do NOT use copy and paste!!!)
Have a parent give you a home quiz on each word
Write each word 5 times
Don't forget that one of the most important things is to SPELL THE WORD CORRECTLY WHEN YOU ARE PRACTICING!!! Don't practice spelling the words incorrectly!
